Stay cool. Keep training.
A hot flush in the middle of a set is not a reason to stop. The right kit makes the difference between pushing through and walking out.
What to look for
- Lightweight, breathable knits with built in ventilation.
- Mesh panels at the back, underarm and behind the knee.
- Loose cropped tops or tanks layered over a structured bra.
- Moisture wicking fabric that dries in minutes, not hours.
- Darker tones or marled prints that stay clean-looking through sweat.
What to avoid
- Thick fleece, brushed inner linings, anything insulating.
- Long sleeves you can't push up or strip off mid set.
- Pale grey, anywhere.
Layer like you mean it
The trick is two pieces you can move between in seconds. A breathable cropped layer over a supportive bra. A zip jacket you can drop the moment the heat lands. Always carry a small towel and a cold water bottle.
One small ritual
Wrist under cold water for thirty seconds before you train, and again at the end. Brings core temperature down fast, and signals to the nervous system that you're safe.
