Heat + Sweat

Less sweat in the story.

By Second Era Editors·

Sweat is normal. But not wanting sweat to be the first thing people notice is normal too. Sweat-conscious activewear is not about pretending the body does not work. It is about choosing pieces that help you feel less distracted by it.

Sweat-proof vs sweat-conscious

No activewear can honestly promise that sweat will disappear. A better goal is sweat-conscious design: colours, fabrics and cuts that make sweat less visible, less uncomfortable and less central to the session.

Sweat-proof is an overpromise. Sweat-conscious is the real job.

Colour matters

Pale grey, pastels and some bright colours can show sweat quickly. Black, charcoal, navy and deeper shades are usually safer.

Fabric matters

Matte fabrics are often more forgiving than shiny fabrics. Breathability also matters because trapped heat can make sweating feel more intense.

Fit matters

Tops that cling can make sweat feel more obvious. Waistbands that dig can feel worse when the body is hot. Relaxed, breathable layers can help.

Second Era approach

More heat reads in activewear for women who run hot.
